If you experience inappropriate behavior from an italki user, please take these steps:
If the inappropriate comment took place on an italki Answers, Notebook, or Discussions, please report the comment by clicking on "flag" this comment. To learn more about flagging a comment please click here.
You should also report the user to italki support by going to the user's profile, and clicking on the "Report Concern" button on the bottom left of the user's profile page. This also helps signal to italki support that this user is a problem. To learn more about reporting concerns please click here.
Blocking the user will prevent this user from starting chats and messages with you, adding you as a friend, and viewing things you share on your timeline. To learn more about blocking users please click here.
If you do not want to be contacted by other members of the community, you can change your privacy settings. To change your privacy settings please click here.
When you contact our support team, please provide as much information as possible:
Link to the User’s italki Profile Page (or User ID)
Evidence such as messages, emails, links and/or screenshots of the inappropriate comments and posts made by the user
Reporting problems that happened on SKYPE - If you are engaging in a language exchange or a paid online lesson on Skype, please take screenshots. To take a screenshot, press your "Prnt Scrn" button on your keyboard, and paste the screenshot in a Microsoft Word document or other graphics program, and send it to email@example.com.
We take any misconduct by users, teachers, and students, very seriously at italki. Any italki user that is in violation of italki policies will be removed from the italki system.
