AI Learning Plan takes into account your learning purpose, interests, and language level. It will suggest a personalized path to help you reach your learning goals and track your progress, while also providing rich information to your teachers so they can teach according to your needs.
How do I create a Learning Plan?
As this new feature is in the testing stage, it’s not open to all students yet. If you’re in the test group, you’ll be able to create it directly from the dashboard. Just answer a few questions about yourself and the plan will guide you to kickstart your learning journey. Currently, the Learning Plan can only be created and viewed on the Web.

What’s the ‘lesson focus’ in my Learning Plan?
The lesson focus is a list of specific learning areas suggested by AI, based on your purpose, interest, level, and the specific vision you want to achieve. If you’re learning for work, and your vision is to communicate effortlessly with your foreign client, then a lesson focus might be ‘to make small talk and build rapport at a business event’.
*If your learning purpose is exam-related, currently there won’t be a ‘lesson focus’ section in your Learning Plan.
How’s the Learning Plan connected to my lessons?
After you’ve booked a lesson, we’ll suggest a lesson focus from your Learning Plan to attach to your lesson. This information will be sent to your teacher for reference. You can change it to another one, or choose ‘have my teacher decide’ if you’re not sure.
We’ll track the lessons you’ve taken for each lesson focus and will suggest a focus that you haven’t practiced for your next lesson.
Can I revise/delete my Learning Plan?
You can edit your lesson focus, or change the weekly learning pace. However, you can’t modify the duration of the plan or the vision you put in when creating the plan, as they are vital to your plan. If you still wish to change them, you can restart and create a new plan.
Can teachers view my Learning Plan?
A teacher can view your plan if you have booked a lesson with them.
Your teachers may suggest changes to improve your plan or propose a new plan. You’ll be notified through messages and can choose to accept or decline. If you don’t want to share your current learning plan with your teacher, you can delete the plan and create a new plan.
How do I complete my Learning Plan?
The plan will end either when it reaches the duration you’ve set, e.g. 8 weeks, or when you reach the total lesson hours you set at the beginning.
Can I have a Learning Plan for each language I’m learning?
Currently, you can only see one Learning Plan on your dashboard, which is for your primary learning language. If you want to set a plan for a different language, please change your primary learning language in your profile, and then create the plan from the dashboard.
Don’t worry, if you switch back to your previous primary learning language, the plan you’ve created for it will show on the dashboard.
