You can go to My Lessons, find your Package list, check the Package page, and click Request to Terminate Package.
When a Package is terminated per teacher and student’s agreement, the student will receive the returned Credits of the unused lesson(s) to the student's wallet.
If your teacher does not respond to your Termination Request within 7 days, please contact Customer Support.
How much italki Credits refund can I receive if a Package is terminated?
Be aware that the italki Credits refund amount is dependent on the reason for the Package termination.
Teachers are offering Packages often at a discounted price. Therefore,
If a student cannot continue studying due to personal reasons, the italki Credits you can receive will be [Package price - Original Single Lesson price * Number of the completed lesson(s)], as the student will need to pay the unit (non-discounted) price for the lessons completed in the Package.
If a Package cannot be completed due to the teacher's failure to provide services (The teacher has been deactivated, the teacher has not responded to lesson requests or teacher no-shows), you can request to terminate the Package by paying for completed lessons at a discounted price.
Make sure you have talked with your teacher about your termination decision to avoid any refund dispute.
My Package Termination Request is declined by my teacher. What should I do?
If a package is requested to be terminated but declined by the other party, the package is disputed.
The one who initiates the termination will receive an email from italki asking for a reason and explanation.
It is optional for the other party to also contact support explaining the reason for declining the termination request. The dispute will be settled by the italki Dispute Team after investigating the Package problems. Decisions made by italki are final.
If no reply is received from either party for the dispute within three (3) days, the termination request will be canceled. The package will be resumed to be valid.
