    I do not like the new 12+ hour thing. I should not be forced to check my work every single 12 hour period. I wrote my own policy on my profile, but still got a request. Here is my new problem with Italki:

    I declined the request - that is MY new policy - and the request immediately disappeared, without even giving me a chance to write an explanation or ask the student to request a time further in advance. Now I have lost a potential student. Thanks, Italki. You are, once again, making my life so much better. UGH!

    Dear Teachers, I just received an email from Italki asking me why my income is less this year than last year, asking if they can help me in any way, and asking for suggestions. I am taking this opportunity to mention every single problem the new Italki has, and ask for changes, because these changes are basically forcing me to find work elsewhere. 

    If any of you receive this same email, I hope you will list all the problems you have had with the site, and maybe they will decide to revert to some of the old (better) ways. 

    We have to band together if we want to see a change.

    Yes, I too received the email. I think those of us who did have a good opportunity here to speak up on behalf of our fellow teachers and students. If we handle this correctly, we may be able to make a difference.

    I intend to mention the disappearance of the instant tutoring and as you (Rose) mentioned, this is a direct cause of seeking to teach with other platforms.

    To be honest, not much else has a direct effect on my lower iTalki numbers.

    @Rose. I don't agree as to the 12hours thing, but I can see that for some people can be a problem. Each one of us has got different working life etc, so some may like to be able to change plans and to get bookings even an hour before, others instead may not like and find it really bothering.

    On other websites you can decide how many hours in advance a student can book, From 3 hours to 2 days or more. I think that they should implement something like this here.

    When is instant tutoring coming back? There was nothing wrong with it at all, in my opinion. It worked great! A lost  opportunity for teachers and the website...

    Realmente, deberian de volver a habilitar la anterior version de Italki, todo era super bien, tanto maestros,tutores y alumnos nos iba mucho mejor, ahora todo el tiempo es un problema y cada vez estamos menos satisfechos con esta version, en ves de ayudarnos a ser mejores es todo lo contrario. Vuelvan a la version anterior con clases instantaneas. Ya es mejor no recomendar la plataforma.

    One thing you should really implement is the chance to set different prices for different students.

    If I want to change  my price this should not affect my old students.  The way it is make things really hard for us. Old students may resent the change in prices, especially if you do it more than one so in the end, we are pushed not to do so. But this is very unfair and we need much more flexibility here.

    @Carmine That's actually a really good point... I have an opportunity to speak with an iTalki rep today about slumping sales. I will mention that to him. 

    Needless to say, I intend to mention Instant Tutoring as well.

    The thing about 12+ booking is, I want to be able to CHOOSE to activate it or not. Sometimes I might want to be able to book on shorter notice...but I should not be FORCED to check my work site obsessively - twice a day - so I don't miss a request, or be penalized for not doing so, and I definitely should be able to turn off lesson requests when I'm on a weekend or vacation. People have a life outside of work.

    I also should not have to explain to every student who requests a lesson why I am unable or unwilling to schedule on short notice. Not accepting makes me look unprofessional, but I prefer planning my work day more than 12 hours in advance, especially considering time zones. Sometimes I check at night, sleep, and discover four hours before the requested time that I have to answer. I may (probably) have made other plans for my afternoon if I didn't have anything scheduled by the night before. This is really a ridiculous new requirement.

    One thing that you really should implement is the payment through transferwise.

    I pay too much  in commission. When I convert the money to euro(in my case), paypal keeps a lot. If we consider that we have already to pay the website and taxes in our countries, this is very unfail!

    Month 5 with no new students. In the days of Instant Tutoring I could rely on one or two new students daily. Without Instant Tutoring you've destroyed what made this site so special.

    The fact that if we change the price, all prices change, also for old student is very inconvenient. On other websites, you can change the price individually, So if student "Paul" buys my package at 10 dollars per lesson, even if I change to 12 dollars the package price, he will keep having and buying lessons at 10, unless I change the price the student is meant to pay in settings.

    The way it is, I have to make a new course called "old students pack" and tell all student to buy lessons from there. It is messy and not that professional. 
    I suggest youwork on this because we teacher need more flexibility with prices.

    I understand all your frustrations but it kinda looks like a car-crash from afar by now. There are no official responses from Italki, even after months of people complaining. We also have not seen changes that should have been easy to implement or revert. The calendar system is still a big mess and worse than before. I basically lost all students on this platform and stopped caring. The only downside is that I rather have students on more than one platform to keep it diverse but Italki does it's best to drive the website to the wall. 

    If this is a big new change then what I would love to see is:

    - a proper schedule system, an end to the time ranges and a direct slot system I can block and unblock like it works on the biggest competitor by now. There is even a very small Asian company that - while using the same time-range bs - does a better job in designing the system, and it is still bad there. But Italki managed to make it worse.

    - ability to change the price for single students to not loose students when I have to change my fees. This is such a no-brainer.

    - an actually working internal classroom. Again, the biggest competitor here is also not perfect but what they offer should be here at a bar minimum. Italki classroom is totally useless and I am wondering why it was released in this state and why a student can't indicate if they like to use it or Skype. I never know and always have to ask.

    - Let teachers chose if they like 24/12h bookings, make the scheduling system easier and more approachable

    My biggest beef by now is the schedule system, especially because of the small time drop down menues which are a pain in the butt for months now and I just stopped keeping my schedule here in sync with the platforms where I actually have all my clients. It is just too much of a hassle now. I have no idea who their head of UI/UX department or whatever this is in this case is, but they should do their job and get stuff done. This includes this support system to begin with. Why is this not integrated into the website to begin with? Why will I get my own answer as an email again? Why can I not have a direct chat with the people who do this, if an issue comes up? Even some German IPS companies offer this, and they are not known for customer service at all. Or to say it blunt: get your fucking shit together Italki, I am done seeing this bs of a website design.

    Please replace the new 24-hour lesson countdown with the start time. I want the lesson time, not a math problem. I hope I don't have to go to a sub-menu to find it. Thank you.

    I am a prospective client, i always wanted the option to start using "instant tutoring" to start informally learning a language... i have a job, a side business, and other responsibilities, i cant book anything a day/days in advance and the option of being able to log on and find a teacher immediately made me want to start my language learning this month only to find out its cancelled... and taking out other time options makes me more disappointed.

    Aside from options for teachers and students, i dont know anything about website design but this site always seems poorly optimized to me on multiple computers, interfaces and browsers... sometimes i hang abit on the one moment pages screen, widgets wont load here and there, discussion topic landing pages are blank or stuck.

    Everytime i log in ready to start, this site is changed abit for the worse it seems, and teacher/student tools are removed. i hope you listen to teachers and other students~ thank you.

    The classic version of Italki has been working poorly for a couple of days. It loads forever. I guess it's a way to force people to use the new one?

    10 days ago I had a 1-hour chat with someone from Italki following their email about my dropping income.

    The entire talk was about my suggestions for Italki, not their suggestions for my income.

    I haven't got a new student request for almost a month. I am almost always online as I understand that takes me to the first places on the list, and I used to get several request both for Spanish and English. Is anyone going through something similar?
