Can the new version of calendar synchronized with google calendar or icalendar?

I mean if I create a new event on Google calendar, whether the system can make the time unavailable for the students?

How do we just clear a single time slot like 14.30 - 15.00? Can we not specify a time period we wish to clear?

Can you clarify what the calendar cleanup button does?

I think this calendar is a vast improvement on the old one. Thank you.

I want to add AM7:00 to AM8:30 slots but this system requires me to delate other slots to do that.
This is very time consuming.  Please consider about UI design more! ;-)

What does "edit individual time slots (e.g. 10:00am - 11:00am)" mean exactly? I manually edited my calendar hour-by-hour (9:30-10:30, 10:30-11:30, 11:30-12:30 and so on) and this is what I got:

All individual hours have been consolidated into single slots from beginning to end, which is what happened before the "improvement"!!. Am I doing something wrong? Is it really that difficult to make a quick, easy to use, decent calendar?

Can you guys please just copy what Verbling does for their availability? You literally just click on the times that you're available and it automatically saves the input. So much easier!

    Thank you for the update.

Could we have the option to delete certain slots going forward from a certain date? For example, I may have 1700-1900 available until a certain date in December but want to delete that slot after that date altogether. How can I do that without going through each later date to delete that slot?

    Thank you!

After using it a bit, yes, it looks a lot better. If this is the format, I don't think we can expect more. Would be easier if they totally changed it. If there was a calendar with a set of slots for each day and times. You see all of them in one page, from monday to sunday, you just click on one or many of them and automatically set them available or not, instead of writing times each time (so time-consuming)

My goal was to just add a new time-slot (13:00-14:00). I love to have breaks in-between classes (30 minutes).

I can not select it in the dropdown. If I change it above, this is what happens. Would be very helpful to make it possible to select 13:00-14:00 in this drop-down (because right now its just possible to add another slot after your last lesson).

Just to let you guys know that I tried to block some days off for a vacation in January, but the system managed to delete EVERY SINGLE TIME SLOT in my schedule (November included); indeed a real vacation, isn't it? Well, it's been a lot of fun to MANUALLY ENTER EVERY SINGLE TIME SLOT for each and every day of the week.

Hi, in the past when i have used the "Vacation" feature my students told me that they just see those days as unavailable for them, i think it would be cool if they could see that those days are actually marked as Vacation,

The italki calendar provides an ical link which helps to see your italki lessons on your smartphone as an additional calendar. All of us have a life outside italki, so we already have one or more calendars to manage (in my case: 5). But, if and when this calendar is updated automatically it helps to avoid accidentally assigning the same time frame to different tasks.

Until a few weeks ago, booking a lesson (as a student) or getting a lesson booked (as a teacher) was immediately reflected in the ical link. This was very convenient... was... very... convenient...

But now, it takes a day (or sometimes more) until the link is updated. So, on a practical level, the link is not of much use anymore. I reported the problem, but nothing got fixed. I had to set up a work-around using yet another calendar on my phone where I manually enter new bookings until the italki link finally displays them.

I have started asking myself: Am I the only one in the italki universe using the ical link feature?

me too and it's deeply annoying. combined with the next lesson starts in xxx hour, it makes it really hard to actually be sure when some lessons take place.

At first, I love New Italki calendar. It's way better than the previous one. But today I realized that the “Add New Time Slot” button allows you to add only time-slots consecutive, following your current ones, in other words, the system doesn’t allow adding new time-slots for the earlier time than existing slots.  For example, if I have 16:00-18:00 time slot, I able to add only the time-slot for the later time, after 18:30, but I can’t add anything before 16:00 (let’s say 13:00-14:00). To do so, I have to change the current time-slot (16:00-18:00) to 13:00-14:00 and only then I’ll be able to add a consecutive one.

It would be great if the editing tools were more flexible, and we could add time-slots early in the morning before existing time-slots or insert some availability between.
