Hi, I'm Steve and am a 63 year old retired Mechanical Engineer with the gift of gab. I am not a professional teacher, nor do I speak any other language other than English. I have worked on Italki & another school for six years performing Conversational English with students. We practice talking like between friends. I'm not very familiar with the rules of English, (pronoun usage, adverbs, etc...) It has got me through, but I would like to get more out of it. We chat about the weather, politics, religion, current events, etc. Students always tell me they don't know how to start a conversation. I think I make a decent living supplementing my income, but would like to know of any good tips you could offer me like how to hold onto my trial students. I'm fairly tech savvy and can manage my way around the internet, the browsers, file downloads & websites. Thanks & I look forward to your reply.
