I totally agree with this article. By personal experience, I know that listening to music and learning the lyrics helps a great deal to improve vocabulary (including phrasal verbs and the use of prepositions) and pronunciation. And you have fun at the same time!

These are such great ideas! I recently prepared two lessons with two french songs as a support to learn new words and talk about French society. It is truly a way to learn more about a culture!

I regularly use a song to help kids learn the 7 continents. It's so catchy and they always remember it even months after we first sang it! A brilliant memory aid for sure.

As a songwriter and music producer, I always incorporate music as part of learning English. Part of our lesson, my student learns how to write a song, write a novel and some prefers voice lessons apart from learning grammar. Doing these various activities, their ability to speak confidently during conversation is enhanced because they are also engaged in their hobbies and their personal interests. I just finished 200 lessons in my first month working here in italki. Thank you Music and thank you Italki.

Lyricstraining is a useful tool if we want to teach English (or other languages) via music.

I approve this article. songs help learners to memorize the lyrics, which later on act as a good learning tool for second language learners

I've always considered learning a language via listening to songs as one of the most effective ways. It has aided me a lot and I can't help encouraging my students to do it as often as they can.

    Hello everyone!

Someone knows how can I share music (and video, maybe with Youtube's link) with my students during a lesson on Italki Classroom? I know how to share the screen but not the audio. Thank you!

    Hi Federico!
I am afraid it's not possible to share audio on italki Classroom, as far as I know. I am sorry.
    Greetings!

How to change the language I'm learning? in my learning profile settings, all other options have a pen edit icon next to to it, but languages does not.
