The Language Challenge invites learners to sign up, choose a lesson hour goal (12, 16, 20, 24 hours), and hit the goal to win rewards. The challenge happens 3 - 4 times a year.
As an italki teacher, you can benefit from the challenge by opening up your schedule and by creating discounted Packages for Language Challenge students. Remember, the minimum goal in the challenge is 12 hours!
Staying motivated and knowing what to study is a big challenge for most students. If you have loyal students, you can...
- Ask your students what they would like to achieve and plan for it! A clear lesson plan and timeline are helpful and motivating. What can they achieve in 12, 16, 20, or 24 hours?
- Brush up on an old topic to keep your student’s memory fresh. Is there something your student still struggles with?
- Is there something your student has always wanted to learn but couldn’t because they didn’t have enough time? Can you dedicate an hour to it during the challenge?
If you’re a new teacher, this is a great opportunity to show your enthusiasm and knowledge. Once you’ve attracted students, you can help students plan their challenge. A complete lesson plan covering your students’ entire challenge goal shows them that you care about their success.
