Teachers who wish to offer different lesson categories must demonstrate their qualifications for teaching the category.
Acceptable certifications and qualifications include:
- A Language Teaching Certificate focused on the Category
- A University Degree in the Category
- A Professional Certification in the Category
- Proof of Employment in a field closely related to the Category
- Other locally/internationally recognized certificates /qualifications
As an example, let’s use Business:
A Language Teaching Certificate focused on the Category
A TEFL-Business or another Teaching Business English certificate issued by an accredited institution is acceptable for English. Similar certifications for other languages are acceptable.
A University Degree in the Category
An associate's in Business, a bachelor's in Business, a Master’s in Business, or the equivalent are all acceptable.
A Professional Certification in the Category
A Certified Business Administrator (CBA), Certified Administrative Professional (CAP), or other similar certifications issued by an accredited institution are acceptable.
Proof of Employment in a field closely related to the Category
It can be a copy of a work contract showing your employment or a signed and dated reference letter from a reputable source stating you have experience in Business, administration, etc.
Unacceptable Documents
Unaccredited Certificates
Free online courses or training, such as Certificates of Achievement, Certificates of Participation, etc. MOOCs such as Udemy, Coursera, or Open2Study.
Language Proficiency Certificates
Any certificate showing your language proficiency in a category, not your teaching skills or experience, is unacceptable. For Example, IELTS, TOEFL, and DALFs.
After August 14th you can apply through your Teacher account by going to Teacher Settings --> Resume and Certificates --> + Business/Test/Kids/Medical/Technology
