We now support UnionPay as a payment method for Russian users! Now you can go to the italki website to top up the credits. However, it should be noted that this payment method takes around 48 hours to process, and then you can use the credit to book lessons!
We will notify you via email of the result of your purchase. If your top-up purchase is successful, the credits will be added to your wallet. If your purchase is not successful, the money will be returned to your card. Refunds depend on the processing time of your bank. It takes up to 3-5 working days for the fund transferred back to your original payment provider. In rare cases, it can take up to two weeks. it usually depends on your Payment provider. if you haven't received your fund after 2 weeks, please feel free to contact us.

Payment Related
Starting from March 10, Visa and MasterCard will suspend operations in Russia by blocking all transactions outside of Russia for cards issued by Russian banks. It will influence all international payments including Google Play, Apple Pay, and any direct online payments. Therefore, it won’t be possible to pay in italki as well.
In case of a problem with payment, please contact the customer service of this bank to clarify whether it is related to sanctions and disconnection from SWIFT.
For now, the credits that you have purchased are safe in your account. The credits will not disappear and of course, you are free to use them in the system. We are truly sorry as we understand the situation our users from Russia are in. We are actively working on this problem. We hope that everything will be back to normal soon!
For Teachers: Withdrawals
At the moment, we know that PayPal and Payoneer have stopped working in the territory of the Russian Federation, therefore these withdrawal methods will be temporarily unavailable.
We want to emphasize that all the credits you have earned on italki are safe in your teacher's wallet. Your italki credits will not be frozen or confiscated. We will do everything possible to protect your funds and ensure the safe withdrawal of your credits.
We will post information to the webpage as soon as we receive it. We will notify you of the possible options as they become clearer.
