Regional Service Termination Notice

italki is planning to stop our service in the following regions on 25th June 2022 at 23:59 (UTC+0)

Iran

Cuba

North Korea

Syria

This means that users living in the above-mentioned regions will no longer have access to the italki website or apps. Users will not be able to access their account, profile, and wallet balance.

For Students in the above-mentioned regions:

• Students living in the above regions will be able to use their credit balance and complete their scheduled lessons/packages before 25th June 2022 at 23:59 (UTC+0)
• After the termination date, you will not be able to access the italki site or app

For Students who have teachers in the above-mentioned regions:

• Lessons scheduled after 17th June 2022 at 23:59(UTC+0) with teachers in the above-mentioned regions will be canceled on the 13th of June
• Any unfinished packages booked with teachers in the above-mentioned regions will be terminated at package price on the 13th of June

For Teachers in the above-mentioned regions:

• Teachers living in the above-mentioned regions will be able to withdraw their credit balance
• Teachers living in the above-mentioned regions will not be able to accept new lesson requests on or after the 13th of June 2022
• Upcoming lessons scheduled after the 17th of June 2022 at 23:59(UTC+0) from teachers in the above-mentioned regions will be canceled on the 13th of June
• Any unfinished packages from teachers in the above-mentioned regions will be terminated at package price on the 13th of June
• For any leftover balance in the teacher's wallet, italki will automatically submit a withdrawal to the teacher’s default withdrawal account. We do suggest teachers in the above-mentioned region to withdraw their balance as soon as possible
