What is the italki Classroom?

The Classroom is a video platform with a screen-sharing feature on italki. On your computer, you don’t need to download another app, but simply log in to italki with any supported browser and click “Enter Classroom” to have lessons!

It is also built in the italki app on mobile devices, which means you can have your lessons on the go.

How can I select italki Classroom as a lesson video platform?

When you are booking a lesson, after selecting the date and time, the Classroom can be selected as your lesson video platform. (Find other applicable video platforms on italki here)

If you are a teacher, you can select the italki Classroom as a video platform by sending a Lesson Invitation.

How do I use italki Classroom?

1. Go to the lesson detail page, click “Enter Classroom”.

2. You will see a landing page before joining the lesson. Before each lesson, a setup page will appear where you can test your microphone, camera, and speakers, and adjust your audio and video settings.

3. Please allow audio and video access in your browser. In Chrome, you can change permission settings by clicking the lock icon in the top-left corner of the address bar.
