Where do I set my prices?
Go to Teacher Settings → Lessons and Availability → Lesson Management. Click the edit icon on a lesson, or click Create a Lesson, and scroll to Pricing.
How do I set a single-lesson price?
- Enter your price per lesson for the 60 min lesson. Every lesson must include a 60-minute option.
- To offer other lesson lengths, click 30 min, 45 min, or 90 min under Add another lesson length (optional), then enter the price.
- Your earnings for each lesson length will appear next to the price as you type.
For all lesson lengths, the minimum price is $5 USD for Community Tutors and $10 USD for Professional Teachers. The maximum price is $120 USD.
How do I add a package?
- Under a lesson length, click Add package and choose a package of 5, 10, 15, or 20 lessons.
- Enter a discount for the package.
- The total price, average price per lesson, and earnings per lesson are calculated automatically.
You can offer one package of each size for each lesson length. You can add a package only after entering a valid single-lesson price.
What discount can I enter?
Enter a whole number from 0 to 99. For example, enter 12 for a 12% discount. Enter 0 if you do not want to offer a discount. The average price per lesson cannot fall below the minimum price: $5 USD for Community Tutors and $10 USD for Professional Teachers.
How do I remove a package or a lesson length?
Click the delete icon next to the package or lesson length. The 60-minute lesson length cannot be removed. Removing a lesson length also removes all packages for that length. Changes take effect only after you save them.
How are my earnings calculated?
Your earnings equal the lesson price minus the italki commission. The earnings shown are the amount you will actually receive. For more information, see How does italki charge a commission?
Where can I see my prices and earnings later?
Your Lesson Management cards show the 60-minute lesson price and your earnings. Click View earnings to see the prices and earnings for every lesson length and package.
Please note: Packages created before November 18, 2026 may have a decimal discount. If your package discount has decimal places, it will be rounded up to a whole number on both the teacher and student pages (e.g. 11.56% → 12%). Students will still pay the package price you set. Once you reset and save the package discount, the displayed discount will match the discount used to calculate the price.
