On italki, a lesson can only be canceled or rescheduled 24 hours before the lesson start time. If your lesson takes place after 24 hours, you can go to the lesson page and request to "change date/time" of the lesson or "cancel the lesson".
- The lesson will be canceled directly after submitting the cancellation request.
- The lesson credits will be transferred back to the Student Wallet. For the package lesson, a lesson will be added back to the package.
- If you request "change date/time", the lesson will only be rescheduled when the other party agrees to the request. Otherwise, the lesson will proceed at the originally scheduled time.
If a lesson is about to start within 24 hours, it can NOT be changed to a new time or be canceled.
If you can't take a lesson, make sure you notify your teacher at your earliest convenience. Talk with your teacher and see if a refund can be arranged. If your refund request is not agreed upon, your teacher is entitled to receive full payment.
After any lesson, a "there was a problem" button will be available for both teacher and student to propose a lesson refund within 72 hrs. Check How to report a lesson problem?
