When and how to submit an incomplete lesson request?
The student and the teacher have 72 hours to submit a lesson incomplete request since a lesson will be automatically confirmed as completed after 72 hours of the lesson time and lesson credits will be transferred to the teacher.
If there is an issue with your lesson, make sure you stay in touch with your teacher or turn to italki in time to solve it.
1. Click "My Lessons" and find the lesson under the "Action Required" category.
2. Click “Lesson incomplete” on the right side of the lesson page.
3. Select a reason and your expected solution, upload proof and write your explanation.
4. Click "Submit" and wait for the reply.
The other party has 3 days to respond to the request. If the request is accepted, it will be resolved in accordance with the solution proposed.
If the request is declined, you will see the reason and solution submitted by the teacher. Then you get to choose either to accept or decline the request.
If you accept the request, the lesson issue will be resolved.
If you decline the request or take no action in 3 days, it will become a dispute and italki will make the final decision based on the evidence submitted by both parties.
Can I withdraw the lesson incomplete request?
As long as the other party hasn’t responded to your request, you can click on “withdraw request” to cancel it. You have up to 3 days to withdraw your request (starting from the reporting day).
If you withdraw the request within 72 hours after lesson time, you can:
- Submit a new lesson incomplete request
- Complete the lesson and leave lesson feedback normally
If you withdraw the lesson incomplete request 72 hours after lesson time, the lesson will be marked as completed with lesson credits transferred to the teacher.
