Student Group Class Rules

What is Group Class？

Group Classes are online classes for 2-6 students that focus on teacher-created topics. You can talk and interact with the teacher and fellow students from around the world to practice your speaking, listening, and other language skills.
Please note that for now, Group Classes can only be booked through website: https://www.italki.com/group-class

Students can request the class as long as the class is available or until the class reaches the maximum number of students. Class requests will be accepted automatically, the class will show in the upcoming lesson list once booked.
Once full, no additional students can request this Group Class, no matter how long it is before class starts.

Group Classes are taught via Zoom, and the Zoom meeting ID and password information will appear 10 minutes before the class time.
Make sure to attend the class on time, there is no cancellation/reschedule/refund if students are late for the class. However, students are able to enter an ongoing class after the start time.
The class length is based on the Class Settings, regardless of whether you interact with the teacher or other students during class time.
Inappropriate behaviors are unacceptable and may result in students being warned or removed from class. Inappropriate behaviors include but are not limited to: harassment; sexual/racial/religious discrimination and any other behaviors that negatively influence the group class experience.
Teachers have the right to remove students from class if they misbehave. Once removed students are not allowed to enter the Group Class again.
Students may turn off their cameras if they choose.

Students can cancel the class request up to 24 hours before the start of class, and receive a full refund of class credits back to their student wallet. Students are not allowed to cancel the class within 24 hours of the class start time.
Students who apply for full or partial credit refunds are required to provide evidence, such as screen recordings or chat records to support their request.
Students will not get a credit refund if they have been warned or removed from class for inappropriate behaviors.
Students have 24 hours to request a credit refund before the Group Class is automatically marked as “completed”.

Group Classes will be automatically confirmed to a completion status 24 hours after the class ends. Currently, Group Class has no feedback function.

italki reserves the sole right to assess, resolve, and make decisions regarding the above-mentioned rule violations as well as other disputes.
